Radio stations in the UK are required to hold a public file. Radio Tamworth is a community radio station run entirely by volunteers for people in Tamworth and the surrounding areas. The station offers full training and is open to everyone over 14 years within the community who wish to get involved.

Should you wish to complain about the station or anything related to its output please contact the management team with the details of your complaint to [email protected] Your complaint will be acknowledged and a resolution will be reached within a maximum of 28 days. If a resolution is not reached to your satisfaction you can make a further complaint to the regulator Ofcom. See here.

Radio Tamworth broadcasts 24 hours a day on 106.8 FM, via the Internet at this website, and through mobile apps.

We broadcast live programming from our Tamworth studios. Check the schedule page for full details due to weekly variations.

There is some recorded programming and automated music playout playing hits largely from the 1980’s to today’s latest music with some specialist shows featuring older music.

News Broadcasts

National news bulletins are presented by Sky News in London on the hour. Some bulletins are supplemented by local news presented from Tamworth. Local announcements can be heard as part of our community diary and live shows where appropriate, e.g. the Saturday afternoon sports show contains local sporting news.
